WTF - Optics Planet....won't ship YHM muzzle brake, says Prop 65?

I ordered a couple YHM-28-5M muzzle brakes along with other stuff and a couple days after my order is placed I get a notification that the muzzle brakes have been cancelled from my order because of Prop 65.

So I call and say what is prop 65, thinking its another useless gun law? So I tell them it shouldnt have a restriction since these are compliance parts. They say I have to email the Risk assessment department or some dumb sheet. So I email and get no response. I call back again to get some clarification and the guy says there must be something in the material that violates Prop 65. How the fuk does a piece of steel with a hole in it and the most standard parkerized finish in the industry violate Prop 65,not to mention WTF is prop 65.... Turns out its some clean water intiative......huh? I ask speak to a supervisor, so he says the sup is busy and he'll call me back. Of course he doesn't .....but still, how da wat da fuk does Prop 65 have sh!!t to do with this?

I'm sure they are getting swarmed over the mag ruling, but that just happened, my order was from mid February.

Checked, they have the yhm-28-5M1, but I ordered the smooth version 28-5M.
I may do those if I can't find what I wanted.

OP does not sell any 10+ magazines. They said something about their own local laws.

Illinois has its own set of feel good anti-2A laws.

I ordered from them recently and the order got cancelled because of a prohibited Crush Washer.

                      Yes, a Crush Washer.

                      Wrote about it HERE.

Prop 65 is about 30 years old. Everything in California including buildings have Prop 65 warnings labels. There are millions of products imported with Prop 65 warnings. Yes even IPhones.

sorry I don't have specific sites handy, but prop 65 warnings and regulations have gotten worse in this last year. Blame California for those regulations not the company selling product.

It's such a stupid thing. The office building where I work in San Diego recently added (was forced to add I'm sure) a big Prop 65 warning sign on the front entrance by the door. What the hell are the couple hundred people working there supposed to do with that information?? Not go to in work anymore?
