Did I really just pay $70 for this?

California keeps requiring me to spend more and more money to keep my rifles legal. It's driving me nuts. I don't blame the manufacturer (R&D and all that) but when's it gonna stop?

It was just an old plywood boat, with a '75 Johnson, with electric choke. A young boy, two hands on the wheel, I can't replace the way it made me feel.

I watched the video and it doesn't look like the upper separates from the lower before the mag change. I dunno I think a lot of these high dollar gimmicks are way too close to the illegal line (for me anyway). And, for me, featureless is the way to go. No change in function only cosmetics. And cosmetics is what the gungrabber's hysteria is about in the first place.

You got ripped off if you paid $70... I’ve seen them for $50 regularly. I paid $40/ea for the 3 I bought.

And great.. here goes another thread on how these are not compliant

            yes you did.

you could have paid the same and made a featureless gun that would allow you to keep the same manual of arms (besides needing a double sides selector switch)

a non-moving buttstock is not an issue, and not having a flash hider is a non-issue. the only real inconvenience is the pistol grip (or lack thereof)

The upper and lower has to separate before the magazine can be released or is automatically released, and it does. They are compliant to following the letter of the law. That's what is in many gun shops, but some only sell configurations like the Mag Lock.

I like the MagLock and Patriot Pin, leave the state and convert in 1 minute or less.

Agreed. You can go featureless for less than $20.

                  or register.

all the "fixed-mag" and "featureless" will get violated again and again.

California politicians keep assuming their won't be an easy to install work around. Pro CA inventive manufacturers keep embarrassing them.

Here is my eazy work around, sure it requires ejection port loaders and it takes a bit more work/time to convert back to "normal" but it only cost me pennies to do.
