Gas tube hole in upper receiver

I'm building a PCC with a Gibbz side charging upper. It has a gas tube hole in it, but of course there's no gas tube as it's blowback operated.

Is there some way to block that hole? Is that even necessary, or is it fine left open?

The instant the bolt comes out of battery you,ve lost gas pressure and its purely momentum pushing the bolt the rest of the way back. By the time any gas gets up to that hole its work is long done.

Tap it and cap it with a tiny allen bolt. Add some locktite so it doesn't work its way out or in.

Just leave it. No need to fill it in.

Are you talking about the hole in the receiver itself like I believe you are? It is fine left alone no gas is present as others suggested, now if you have a barrel with an open gas port that is different but being PCC it shouldn't have one to worry about. I think by a couple of the responses they thought you were talking about the barrel port.

I think that gas will escape and foul the hand guard, turn a gas block or tap and plug it.

                It's not necessary.
There is no gas in the receiver on a blowback gun that the lack or presence of a hole would change.
