Spikes tactical (vs aero precision)?
Tags: None -
I don’t think you can go wrong with either, both good quality brands. I have a spikes lower, with an aero upper on it, probably my favorite rifle. I also have an all Aero .308 that has been flawless. The Spartan lower is a little rich for my taste, so no feedback there, but I say go for it! -
Aero and Spike's are good to go. Both are quality units. I own both as well."It is currently CA legal to modify a double-action revolver into a single-action revolver and modify a single-action revolver into a double-action revolver.
CA DOJ BOF stance on modifying handguns only applies to dimensionally compliant bolt-action single-shot pistols and dimensionally compliant break-open single-shot pistols.
^It does not apply to revolvers, manually operated repeating pistols, and semi-auto pistols." ~~ QuietComment

Thanks. Yeah that spartan is ridiculously expensive for a stripped lower. But I guess when you’re the only one making something like that you can charge what you want. I think I’ll grab that and have it shipped and maglocked before those are outlawed. From there I’ll grab an Aero upper and hand guard, have the 3 coated, and have fun with the rest of the build. Maybe a Gisselle trigger, one of those fancy low weight bolt and buffer deals. Never done a build that was actually quality before.Comment

Watch Primary Arms for sales. I just got a Spikes Punisher lower for cheap! I have all Spikes under BCM uppers and they all work perfectly. The left - "You don't need guns. Police will protect you."
Also The Left - "Police are racist and evil and we need to disband them."Comment

Get a cheap poverty pony lower and get on with your build. If you want a high end build, you're looking at the wrong options.Link to my feedback: https://www.calguns.net/forum/market...ser-tradecraftComment

For me i have Aero, Spikes , Anderson, EDS tactical , JD , and a few others . All have been fine . It was all about how much you are willing to spend on a Name .If you want new then hit up your LGS, but i have found most of mine right here on Calguns . You can always find a deal .. That being said . Aero is good to goComment

If you are going high end, I would think you would want a milled lower, instead of forged. I think most all forged lowers are about the same.I dreamed of owning a (insert off roster gun here)...
Oh yeah....then the earth splits open with me on one side and the (off roster gun) on the other. Then appeared a large red-glowing pit with gavin newscum, diane frankenstein and governor "brown the drain" at the bottom of it, waving their pitchforks at me.

Just because one lower is billet vs forged does NOT make it high end.
Think about what a lower does. It holds trigger group, safety, magazine, mag release and holds the upper receiver on top of it. It has virtually nothing to do with where the bullets go down range (yes I know that's controversial)
A billet receiver will hold those parts exactly the same place as a forged lower save for the few out of spec lower receivers.
What makes a rifle high end is the barrel and BCG. Even those fancy triggers do nothing but send projectiles down range a few RPM's faster.
Just because a lower receiver looks fancier and says milled from billet and may have an ambi this or that doesn't make it high end. Its more like getting a car with power windows vs manual or having a radio thats bluetooth compatible. It only makes things a little more convenient.
Dont get sucked into a receiver that is 395.00 vs 49.00 and think it will perform any better.
Too often people spend too much on a nice lower and cheap out on the upper and thats is where everything is at.
Get a quality barrel above all else. That is the the heart of your rifle. The rest is just skin.Last edited by protohyp; 03-08-2019, 8:20 AM.MESSAGE ME FOR ARMAGLOCK COUPON CODES!!!!

If thats the case I think I'll go with the Spartan lower or this
Unless someone has any recommendations on a better quality one. Looking to do a fancy lightweight build I can tune to perfection.Comment
