Like above . I run a 50 Beowulf upper on a Factory built Ar pistol lower. No changes other than a Milsoec adjustable stock and buffer tube . No problems what so ever.

If you build your own, you should enlarge the ejection port if you use a regular AR-15 upper. My suggestion would be either .458 Socom for better bullet selection or .50 Beowulf, because it is a .50 and makes a bigger hole.

If the upper is AR15 based it should work just fine on an SCR Lower.

I would highly recommend you install a Serious Recoil Pad or at least one of the Limbsaver Slip on pads to deaden the recoil from a gun that will end up just over 7 lbs.

I like the bigger hole idea !

For those who don’t know the Scr is the ar lower that has a traditional rifle stock but accepts ar uppers.
I bought a 458 upper, extra "rat-tail" bolt carrier from ARES and a few bolts (not sure where I got them) and everything dropped on to the lower with no issues. The upper came with a brake that looked it was out of The Jetsons and must have weighed about 2 lbs. Ditched it for something more streamlined.

Functions fine with the standard recoil spring set up. Recoil is modest, but definitely lets you know it's not a 223..

I really appreciate it the the new post. And I think I agree with you CG a 458 socom is gonna go on top. I have buddies who reload 458 so I think that’s the next build.

My 50 Beowulf loaded with some Underwood Kicks less than a 20 gauge . It's really not as Bad as Some make it out to Be . Rapid follow up shots are easy . I dont have. a brake or Flash hider one Problem with the Beowulf is proprietary parts. I ended up machining the Gasblock down to allow a quad rail handgaurd to fit it worked perfectly.
