    Help with oddball Krieger barrel/extension

So my wife got a great deal (~$320) on a (now discontinued) Krieger 20" .223 rem H-Bar barrel for my Christmas present and I am confused. Brownells says (in the Q&A) this does NOT have M4 feed ramps so I started shopping for a rigid upper with rifle ramps. But look at these pics (attached). They sure look like M4 feed ramps but are a bit shallow and leave a small gap in a forged M4 upper I had lying around.

So WTF? Are these not M4 feed ramps and should I not mate it with an M4 upper? I'm gonna try for a precision build so any suggestions for a solid upper that is not $300 are welcome. In fact recommendations for rigid tubes/handguards are also welcome.

Here is the barrel at Brownells:https://www.brownells.com/rifle-part...kgXwjzxISQsVk0

My phone must not be displaying all the description.
I see no mention of M4 feed ramps.

But those look like M4 feed ramps.
    Be happy.

    Awesome wife.
Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.
I really miss the good old Pomona Gun Shows.
    I'm Back.

Sorry, the reference to "No M4 Feed ramps" on the Brownells site is in the Q&A where the Brownells guys says there are none. Apologies for confusion. What upper and tube have you guys had success with for a precision build? Thinking of it as an SPR style build with bipod and optic.

As others posted, that is a M4 feed ramp extension. Get the matching upper receiver and build a great upper for that barrel

Based on the "DCM" description, match Service Rifle barrels typically don't have the M4 ramps. However, it's not a hard and fast rule.

The feedramps in your 3 attached pictures are M4 feedramps.
