    SA M1A Loaded

My lgs has SA M1A Loaded with a stainless steel national match barrel for $1300 plus 2 extra mags and a scope mount. I am thinking of getting it, but would probably just keep the peep sight.

I am looking for opinions on this rifle for target shooting, perhaps competitions.

          Woody Stainless Loaded...?

          Buy it.

(Or, get a CMP Service Grade M1 Garand and a thousand rounds of M2 ball.)

That's a very good price. If you don't care about the loaded/stainless aspect, you can keep an eye on the classifieds. Standard M1As in synthetics pop up often enough for $1,100. Hate to pay the tax on something like that...

I just bought one from Sportsman’s warehouse for $1,234.99 with my military discount. Was $1,299 before. Pretty impressed with the gun.

I'm surprised the M1A haters haven't shown up yet....

"It's too heavy, you can't scope it, it costs too much to make it accurate, the extractor will fly off within 9 rounds, my AR is more reliable," yada, yada...

Great rifle, if you run it you will not regret it.

Great rifle, i have had the same stainless Loaded for 20 years now. Did the Lyttle Creek matches with it for CMP requirements. Even back then, mine was $1800 OTD. Get it.

I would rather have a standard M1A with the original style barrel

stainless doesnt look correct on the M1A
