Which barrel and optic for AR10

About to order an upper for my AR10. I'm going to go with an 18" PSA, but haven't decided on the stainless 416r or the CMV 4150 nitride finish barrel. Seems to be most people think 416r can be more accurate, but the nitride should be more durable.

How much real world difference is there? Would I notice any difference?

I haven't made up my mind on an optic yet. I want something with an illuminated reticle, no more than 9x on the high end (8x or maybe even 6x would be ok). I'd like to stay under around $400. I have a vortex strike eagle 1-6x on another rifle that I've been happy with, and I am considering the same scope in a 1-8x for this gun.

The only thing holding me back from buying the vortex 1-8x is the reticle. I would really prefer something clear with a simple crosshair or horseshoe without BDC marks. I can get the vortex crossfire illuminated 3-9x, but undecided if I want to give up the 1x.

I've looked at vortex, leupold, nikon, primary arms, and probably some others and haven't found anything 1-8x with an illuminated reticle without BDC. What else is out there?

Use for this gun will be to shoot at the range and hunt hogs. My local range only goes to 200 yards and every hog I've killed has been well under 200, which is why I don't really want BDC.

Are using a PSA Lower ?
Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.

          Stainless for accuracy.
          Nitride for durability.

I shot out three stainless barrels. So now I prefer nitrided.

How many rounds did it take to shoot out the stainless barrel?

Retired. Got to enjoy shooting again.
1 1/2 yrs shooting . 40 weeks out of the year. Limited myself to 100rds 308 and 200rds 223 each trip.

Rifles still shot. But 3 to 4 inch groups at 100yds was not fun.
