    Troy, Midwest, Samson...

    Hello all,

What is the difference between the free float handguards offered by these three companies? From looking at pictures of them, they all seem very similar in design and installation to me; are they manufactured by another company?

Handguards from these three companies seem to fit a mid-price free float railed handguards niche between YHM in the low end and Larue and Daniel Defense in the high end (price wise)... What are some major differences that set all these handguards apart?

    Thanks,

    Peter

The 2 that I really like.... are:
    - DD
    - KAC

DD being the lightest. (my M4 clone)

KAC being the *real* thing. (my SPR clone)

      Check this thread for details.

Basically, I like YHM most. It's most cost-effective.

      DD is the lightest.

      KAC is the real thing.

MI is a little bit too heavy.

Vltor is kind of cool but not too many people admire it.

      JP is way too cool.

And now there are several small companies manufacturing cool handguards in small amounts. Check ARFCOM EE board for details.
