SCAR 17S Upgrades/Attachments

Hi Everyone,

Just bought my first SCAR. Was wondering what upgrades and attachments you guys reccommend.

So far I have a Super Scar Trigger and an Elcan Specter Dr 1.5/6 on the way.

Roger Nitroxdiver. Keep her solid and light. Acog 5.5 x50 with 308 bdc and maybe a small light.

If you have a large frame ar, you may want to consider a lower too. This will allow you to share magazines between your rifles and not have to diversify so much. The lower does add some weight over the plastic but it feels really solid too. Note, scar mags do not like to be dropped on its baseplate. You figure for a 40 dollar modified fal mag they would take some decent abuse...

ive never so much as scratched a 17 baseplate. they are pretty robust.

youre no doubt noting some dude on m4carbine.net who complained about his plate flying off after it was dropped on concrete.

ive got many 17 mags so i started testing and dropped it 100 times on concrete and it just scratched the base plate but didnt pop off. i knew the guy was BSing.

Anyone reccommend types of 308/7.62x51 ammo to push through the scar?

Oh perhaps any ammo I should NOT use? Thanks.
