I'd call again and try to talk with someone else. It's a b.s. answer. Be nice, but ask for a supervisor if necessary. Good luck. Be sure to tell them you have other DPMS uppers, and they work fine.
There are some people that it's just not worth engaging.

It's a muzzle BRAKE, not a muzzle break. Or is your muzzle tired?

It doesn’t fit my lower that is a Tactical Machining lower receiver with DPMS LPK.
This lower accepts other DPMS uppers well. Seems to me that the holes for the front and rear pins were slightly under-sized in this particular upper, because I can force the front pin half way, and rear pin a pinch.
Did your tactical machining lower come with both the pivot pin and takedown pin holes drilled or did you need the drill the takedown pin hole yourself?

Do the pins not fit through if you remove the pins from the lower and try them in the upper without the lower or are you only trying to push the pins through with the upper and lower mated?

I bought a Colfax Tactical 80% .308 Lower. It already had the take down pin holes machined.
I also bought a DPMS Oracle upper from Midway.
Put the front pin in and try to close, it would not.
Put them together without pins, they fit great.

I have a pin set and found the two pins closest in size to each other that would give me a solid assembly.

I then machined each take down pin to those diameters, -.002 on the front pin and -.003 on the rear pin, it fits together solid.

Take the rear pin out and it's loose breaking the action, but put the pin back in, rock solid.

Perhaps not the best solution, but it works for me and it's a great shooter.

If you haven't fully machined the lower, that may be the issue. When I got an AR15 80% lower from TachMach, I tried to marry it with an upper before finishing it and it wouldn't fit (rear takedown wouldn't close all the way). I contacted TachMach and they said it was deliberate and that the rear takedown pocket isn't fully machined at time of shipment to stay within the "80%" designation.
