9mm ar upper by CMMG

What kind of mag adapter do you use? Any other modifications to the rifle?

I'm in the same boat, I am looking at either a CMMG or RRA 9mm upper right now. I am trying to figure out what mods I need and what not. Luckily I had the foresight to purchase 2 lowers and build them up. So all I need to do is mod one for the 9mm and use 2 uppers on my main built OLL

Hmm not going featureless, I will have to look into how that works with a 9mm setup. Still doing the research and slowly buying ammo and reloading pieces for 9mm.

At one time I was looking into it too, but didn't want a featureless build and with no viable bullet button set up (the Oly mag solution MIGHT have worked with a bb) I kinda gave up. I'd be interested to see what you guys come up with.

One of the Calgunner said that you have to drill a hole onto a VM Hy Tech mag adapter and install a BB. I don't know yet coz I just purchased a 9mm upper today. Maybe a dremel will help installing a BB.

Most 9mm mag blocks allow the use of the standard mag release. So yes obviouisly a bullet button or any mag lock for that matter work. When I had my 9mm, I believe I was using an RRA block.

I dont think CMMG is selling the 9 mm uppers at this time. They do have the 9mm bolts on their web page, but AFIK they are not doing the uppers at this time.

Okay easy,

Parts you need to convert a .223 / 5.56 lower to be used with a 9mm kit.

1.) 9MM Hammer

2.) 9MM Buffer

3.) Magwell Conversion

4.) Stock Spacer (Only if you plan on using the A2 Stock)

I am going to contact RRA via e-mail and ask if they have it in stock. I want the A4 Upper with Badger Latch, those 3 parts which came up to $750 or so w/o shipping On their website it shows you can add to buy it, but I am not sure if they have it stocked or not.
