old akm barrel nut with no slant a g.l.?

i was wondering if the old style barrel nuts for the akms are grenade launchers? i know the slant ones are aok. i have never seen a muzzle grenade on any 762x39 except in a national geographic picture of a original yugo sks somewhere in africa.

If it's a short (maybe 3/4 in) piece that screwd onto muzzle threads it is NOT a granade launcher, but only a thread protector.

the muzzle thread protector gives it the older look. the slant ones make it look alot newer. i want one of each. i guess there is not much of a demand on the old ones. the slant ones are being made in the usa but i don't think the flat ones are yet.
