    Which DD forearm?

cant seem to decide between the Daniel Defense M4 or lite 12in rail.

I like the look of the bolt up system of the lite but not too excited about the top rail running flush with the upper receiver

on the m4 i like the fact it has the seperation between upper and rail but dont like the ring.

maybe you guys can help, if you have either of these handguards, please post some pics of your rig so i can try to finally decide. Ive looked in the big thread but sometimes people dont list their parts so im left guessing. Please Help!

Edit: im going to be running it on a BCM 16" middy with lowpro gas block, dont know which one yet

Not to throw another stick in your spokes, but I have the Omega rail and I love it... I don't have any first hand experience with the two you mentioned though.

I have an M4 rail and an Omega...they are both great!!!!
the Omega is nice cause I can do it myself with the original D-ring, it's nice and tight to the barrel..meaning the space between the side rails and the top/bottom rail is in way close to the barrel...

on my other rifle I have an M4 rail in DE...it's nice cause I can take it off real easy whenever I want to adjust my gas block or clean inside there

      here's a pic of both

lite is the way to go. looks way better and locks up very solid. not to mention its lighter... lol. only downside is you have to buy a special barrel wrench. but its only 10 bucks.

thanks for the responses. i decided to go with the lite. I really like the more aggressive design of the frame opposed to the more oval shape of the M4(see page 3 of link if im not making sense). This thread helped me out as well so if anyone is trying to decide between the two, give this a read

Or if you have one of the 3 pronged Car stock spanner wrenches that works also. May have to fine .010 to .030 off one prong but it doesn't affect it and will now do both the stock and DD barrel nut.
