Bullet Button Nut not fitting....

Hey all, Trying to install a new bullet button I got from valkyrie and im stopped in my tracks. put the cage in, pop the spring in, put the mag catch in, start to screw round nut on it's stiff, keep screwing down but no go. Took it apart, tried to just put the nut into the hole on the cage and it starts in then locks up. I had to screw the latch in reverse to pull it back out. So what I got going here is the nut won't slide around in the hole to operate the mag release, kid is napping and this was my window to slip this sucker in.....
help me brothren.......should I just pack up the mess on the table and get a hold of valkyrie or prince 50 or try to make it work??????.......ideas? I will partake of a coldie while i think......

try flipping the BB over, the nut goes in easier on one side then the other, at least on mine

thanks, but on mine it does not go into the smaller hole at all, will go into the bigger hole but locks up in it........

I dont think the new BBs had to have some filed or press fitted.

Mine just dropped in.

Just slowly reread the instructions.

Also check the threads on the nut and the mag catch.

I've installed one before and yup, read the directions...... if i put the round nut on the latch and screw it down without putting the latch into the cage it threads on fine and screws all the way down, the nut needs to move freely in the cage so that the latch can move back and forth and release the mag. So then when i place the latch into the smaller hole, then try to screw the nut on in the bigger hole side as directed, it is too tight to screw down, it locks up and will not move freely and bounce back from the spring tension. It's like the nut is out of spec too big, or the hole is out of spec too small. Anybody run into this situation before?

I haven't - since the nut threads properly on the mag latch it sounds like the hole on the BB body is drilled off center? Have you tried it without the spring?
Maybe the spring end has a burr on it or the end of the spring is digging into the base of the not or BB?

Sounds like something is out of spec..... even when i try to just slide the nut into the larger hole of the cage without anything on it, it will not slide into the hole with out some "umph".........something I should hit prince 50 up about you think? oversized nut/undersized hole?

Try a round file to make the hole bigger.
