How is THAT ever going to make it to the Governator's desk to be VETOED?

Not trying to be negative, passage of that bill will restore this gun law craphole back to it's "Great State of California".

Just wondering how it's going to pass in the current CA political climate.

Wow! Is it perhaps Prophetic that the day after I join, I come across this link? Forgive my ignorance, but how many times since the dark day back in 1989 has the assembly or senate attempted to repeal this act via the legislative process?

I'm writing Dennis Mountjoy, the San Gabriel Valley Republican Assemblyman, and asking what help he'll be offering in this fight! I suggest everyone make a small contribution to these guys for even getting the proposed bill this far, and perhaps a bigger chunk once it passes! I figure I can save about $400 over the cost of a California-legal AR, so I'm pledging that amount to the person most responsible for successfully repealing the AW ban!

Remember all those red counties! The majority of the state can override what LA and SF think. Remind your legislaters and reps about that fact.
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself...A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague."......Cicero

                  And please don't forget to:

                  1. write to your legislators
                  2. inform your gun owning friends and relatives
                  3. inform your local gun club
                  4. inform all the KA-based gun organizations such as CRPA and GOA of CA
                  5. post this bill on all firearms forums on the 'Net (i.e. thehighroad.org)

Not necessarily in that order but everything on that list!
