All of them will be ~$300+

Great 10 round group btw, what type of rest were you using? (bipod etc)
Thanks for the info. I was shooting from a range sandbag.

Thanks! My camera just sucks & takes poor quality pics. How can I post pics in a thread without having a link to it? Just have the picture in my post? Do you guys know if any of the detachable mag. conversions will work with my factory stock? HS says theirs are designed for their stocks. The others don't really specify. Thanks.

From what I understand most if not all will require at least a minimal amount of material removal from the stock for a good fit.

I free floated and re-torqed my rifle for better accuracy. Then I bedded my stock for even more accuracy. The rifle would shoot just about .5 for the first 5 rounds and then start walking high/right. I finally sold it because I did not want to replace the stock and barrel. IMO the barrels are junk.

I'm not a great shot, but working on it. The Federal Power-shock ammo I was using at first grouped around 2" in a 10 round group. This is the first time I have shot "good" ammo & what a difference.

I guess I could have tried cryo on the barrel. But the barrel got hot and walked. I got tired of having to tweak it to make it shoot straight. If I wanted a 2k rifle I would have bought one. Your lucky if your does shoot that way. I talked to dozens of people when I had mine and all of them said replace the barrel its junk.

I'd hunch the rifle will do a bit better - maybe 3/4 to 1-inch 4 shot groups with the fed match. Make sure you are using a solid sand bag rest at both the front and back of the rifle. Also, shot 3 to 4 shot groups, but let the barrel cool between shots - maybe a minute between shots , and you should see a difference. It seems trivial, but keeping your barrel cool, and have a solid rest makes a big difference. The rifle should be mounted in the bags to the point that it does not move when your curl your arm under it and grasp the trigger. Failing this means your not doing the best. Also, discount the first shot out of the barrel, as you want to start counting groups with a fouled barrel.

There is nothing wrong with Remington barrels - unless you did get a lemon. You can't expect good groups from a hot barrel, so let it cool down between shots - almost cool to the touch.

good tips for sure if going for small group size.. And darn it I reversed my 4 and 5.. I always shoot 5 shot groups.. hahaha I shot all my groups without a rear bag and just a bipod on the front.. So I am super happy with this rifles performance.. I try to shoot more like if I was to have to shoot something for a real reason to keep my own skills sharp.. Since If I really needed to shoot something I would not be able to run and grab the bags and such.. I think this weekend I might do bags on both ends, Let it cool as you suggest, and try for some super tight groups..

I was shooting off a bag up front only, pretty fast. Maybe all 10 shots in 5 minutes. It was freezing azz cold & I wanted to put a few shots on paper & get the heck out of there.

Good luck, if anything, letting your barrel cool down between shots will allow it to last that much longer.
