    Well bummer...

I got a bushnell trophy red dot 1x28 and wanted it to co-witness with the irons but ended up getting stuck with 2 things that don't work. I wanted the sight to work with the irons and got a RRA tactical carry handle and now the QD ring isn't working with the irons as it gets in the way of the gnurled screws for the handle itself and its too high. I wanted it so that I could keep it on the handle and be able to quickly remove it and use irons when necessary. Oh well, guess i'm gonna try new rings or do something different. Any suggestions.

Can't you just turn the scope mount around? Lever would be on the other side and wouldn't interfere with anything.
The thing with firearms is that they are not like any other consumer product, simple ownership of one carries a lot of responsibility.

Some idiots are too busy knowing it all to ever learn anything

That would be too easy, lol. I don't see why it wouldn't work with the QD on the right side of the rifle.

You know when you get in one of those situations where you can't really see until you REALLY take a step back. This was one of them. I didn't have my torx bits out and that stupid leupold ring is now on the other side and quick detach works just swimmingly. All is well in the world and I can use my BUIS when I need now.

Sometimes, the answer is so obviously in front of you, you just cannot see it.

I made some 10 round magazines the other week. Nice and pretty, I even used some paint from Home Depot with some sort of residue/particle to give it the rough look.

But I forgot that the thickness of the paint would prevent the magazine from feeding properly. I mean, common... suck an obvious thing... and yet we do it.

Now I have to sand some of it, or get an old lower and jam the magazines in until the excess paint comes off.

I think I will take the brute approach.

                Jerry.

P.S.: looks nice by the way... your set up.

Don't sweat it. I've had more moments than I care to admit.
