    HAR 25 308 upper?

Does anybody know what brand of upper will fit a Hesse HAR25 308 lower? DPMS says theirs is proprietary. Not sure about the rest. Any help would be appreciated.

Armalite uppers fit. But the HAR uses DPMS magazines.

It appears the winning combination is using an Armalite fixed mag and an Armalite upper.

The DPMS mag , and the Vulcan/Hesse lower's magwell, are a tad wider than the Armalite's mag & magwell width and require some shimming material on each side of the mag.

Once this is done, everything works fine. Armalite has been making 308 semiautos, in quantity, far longer than these newbies. If you want a tested quality system go with an Armalite upper. (Look what happened to Bushmaster's 308...)

There is more to it. If you have a Har-25 lower that is to spec, DPMS mag will work, but there will be no last round bolt open. If you want last round bolt open you will have to use the latest Armalite LPK and recent Armalite mags.

You could always try a Hesse Har-25 upper.
