    Ruger PC trigger swap

You end up using the trigger, hammer, and return plunger from the kit.

It only takes about 10 min. to do the swap.

It make for a much improved trigger. Trigger pull is cut in half. The reset is very positive. And the over-travel screw makes for a shorter reset.

I did keep the factory hammer spring. I tried the one from the kit, and could tell no diffence in trigger pull. I am sure it would be fine, but I wanted to help limit any light strikes, so stayed with the factory spring.

    There you have it.

If you can run a screwdriver, you can swap the parts in less then 10min including taking the action from the stock and reassembling it.

It is VERY easy and straight forward. Only two pins hold the trigger group to the receiver and two other pins holdthe hammer and trigger. That’s it.

And either have an inch/lb torque wrench/driver or a very good idea of what 65 inch lbs feels like for reattaching the action to the stock.

          LOL...Really? On a 9mm carbine?

I do have a very nice inch lb torque wrench. Use to use it for my expensive scopes and precision rifle actions.

Then I realized that my “calibrated” wrist was pretty darn close and and my targets could not tell the difference.

It has collected dust since. YMMV.

So you're paying $138 for a kit that has 12 parts. But you're only using 3?

Pretty much. But if you buy the parts separately it is a wash. And this way the trigger and sear are already assembled.

For me, $140.00 is pretty reasonable for a decent trigger. I have AR Gold and HyperFire ECL’s in my AR’s at around $250.00 each and Jewel’s in my bolt rigs. So again...$140.00 is cheap.

Parts from the kit that are compatible with PCC, crossed out are not compatible.

I was just reminding those that didn't pay attention to their owners manual that there is a torque spec in order that they don't over-tighten and strip threads.

Yes, I can tighten most fasteners by feel too but not everyone can, or heli-coils wouldn't exist. Since I do have a couple different inch/lb torque drivers for my precision rifles, I use them. YMMV.

Buy a Kidd kit, it comes with hammer, trigger with sear and dis-connector installed, and installation pins.
The trigger contacts the return plunger a little differently than the OEM trigger, so it also lowers the pull weight some without replacing the plunger spring. They also sell a plunger spring kit with three different springs so you can tailor the pull weight to your needs.
I have a couple in 10-22's and they are excellent.

Some of the folks on Brian Enos forums have had good luck with the Kidd triggers.

                        So another option.

I am sure very soon there will be some PC specific triggers, but until then, these options work well.

Maybe/ Maybe not. Us PC9 /PC4 users have had to make due with fudging in 10/22 triggerkits for years.

The Ruger PC and the PC9 are totally different animals. From the volume of sales and attention the new PC is receiving....due almost entirely on the PC having the option to accept Glock mags....I see Volquartsen, Kidd, and others capitalizing on its popularity.

If Ruger would have made this rig based only on it using the SR9 mags, I bet the sales would have been similar to the old PC9.

Of course this is just my opinion and what do I know...
