    M&P 15T

    Hi,

Is the flash hider of SW 15T welded? I cannot remove it. The PSA can easily be removed.

    thanks

I am not familiar with the 15t. But I did take one off the S&W M&P 15 Sport, and it took some effort.

Take a close look at the flash hider to make sure it does not have a hole drilled in the side. If it does, that might be a pin.

Also, look to see if it has a crush washer on it. If it does, it is not welded.

If it was welded, it should be obvious that it is welded. There should be weld seems.

Otherwise, put it in a vise mount. Also hold the barrel as tight as you can with your left hand. And use the wrench on the flash hider with your right hand.

        Try using a heat gun
It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

Just be careful how much torque you put through the barrel if you use this method. Do not just secure the upper and try to twist a stubborn flash hider off. The barrel/upper interface is not meant to take torque and if you do not secure the barrel well enough you could damage the upper. For best results use a barrel block/vise to secure the barrel.
