If you do this be aware you will then have to comply with the federal law related to non sporting firearms and having to many imported parts. It's 922r. I'll post a link for you later. (Now updated)

Here is the link to check for compliance. You will need to install at least 6 US made parts on your rifle for compliance.

      http://gunwiki.net/Gunwiki/BuildAkVerifyCompliance.

For you the easiest parts for you to change and stay in compliance will be to install the following US made parts:

      Hammer
      Trigger
      Disconnector
Pistol Grip (not just a grip wrap)
      Muzzle attachment

      And maybe the stock.

Or Mag with a US made floor plate.

You can use parts from a magazine (mag body, Follower or floor plate) for three of the parts, however that will limit you to always using US made magazines.

I do this on some of my guns and have mags with US made floor plates they are easy to replace, and function as the originals.

I found a shop in phoenix AZ that'll do the work i want for $200. Now to look into 922r. I believe the FCG is tapco (usa made.) The mag i use will be american. Has a skeleton stock. I'll need to look into where it was made. I also have a tapco muzzle brake and Tapco M249 pistol grip. I have plenty of USA parts.

I did mine myself, with a Dremel. Looks like crap... but it works. Total cost: $0.00.

                    Don't know...

But it's real easy to make a rifle compliant.
