Cross Armory quick pins with rifle length buffer tube?

Hi guys, I sold my APF AR10/LR308 with lower and upper separated. The buyer bought the Cross Armory quick pins:
Cross Armory QUICK PINS pair with Cross Armory’s SAFE MAG or SAFE MAG 2 for a superior AR reloading system in regulated states. Easier to Operate than standard takedown pins, QUICK PINS provides a one pinch upper and lower receiver release system for .308/AR-10 rifles.

He says it isn't working without a castle nut. The AR10/LR308 has the typical rifle length buffer tube, here's a picture:

He is thinking about buying a carbine length buffer tube kit and AR15 adjustable stock to get the Cross Armory quick pins to work but told him to wait before buying while I check here.

Anyone know if the Cross Armory quick pin kit will work with a standard rifle length buffer? I'll call Cross Armory tomorrow when they open but hoping you guys can help shed some light, thanks.

I looked at it and it won't work with a rifle buffer because the design is held on by the castle nut, it replaces the end plate. A rifle length tube is made for the stock to fit against the end of the receiver so there's no place for it to fit. The installation instructions on the page tell you that is an end plate and fits under castle nut.
