Best way to spend $3000 ???

My wife is going to give me $3000 as a gift to spend on a gun/guns, optics etc.... I'm pretty torn on what to spend it on. I just rebuilt my Registered AR. Have a nice benelli M3 and a nice 300 Rem ultra mag Sendero.

Anything is on the table. I was thinking possibly a Les Baer 1911, maybe a larger caliber/longer range bolt action, a .308 OLL build, new noveske + ACOG upper for my AW

Any suggestions or new ideas would be great.

3 grand for one gun? You are one lucky SOB! Lots of options...but I'd go with the .308 AR myself, if I were in your shoes. You already have a nice 5.56 AR and a nice bolt-action in a caliber that will easily drop anything on this continent at range. The most expensive handgun I've ever owned was a Para P-14 IPSC, which was over a grand. I can't see spending more than that on a handgun since I don't shoot them competitively. But that's my $.02

Get an M1A or a nice bolt-action long range build with some decent optics, and lots of ammo.

buy all the ammo at walmart and sell it back to us at 30% increase! You could turn your $3,000 into $3,900 in one week!

if you want a 1911 skip the high end and go with a Kimber... I have a Kimber Warrior that eats everything. This will save you more money towards something else. If you already have a 1911, I say skip it all together and go with a boltie, ar10, optics or ammo.
