I'm planning on replacing the barrel with a new one I have, I usually have success on taking the barrel nut out with the strap wrench but I guess with the upper I bought from someone, the barrel nut is tighten up on the receiver. Does anyone have any technique for this? Otherwise, I'll go out and buy an armor's wrench. Though I called Ammo Bros in Cerritos if they have one and it seems they don't. Does anyone know which store I can get this wrench in the LA/OC area?

You could always order from Brownells.
It would be a good idea to get the action block too so you don't mess up your upper. If you really want to do it right, use a foot/lb torque wrench and some moly grease on the threads.Comment

Use the action block and the correct wrench. I'm not sure how you verify torque with a strap wrench when you install the barrel

I believe they are telling him to use the proper torque wrench with the AR15 Armorers tool.
