My take on the featureless grip fin/paddle

I got a Hera stock but after reading the install instructions I didn't feel like trying to deal with the wonky way the grip screw needed to be installed.

I'd seen some videos on how to work with kydex and I'd always thought why someone didn't make a grip fin with a thumb rest so I bought some kydex and screws to give it a go.

I just made a paper pattern with how I thought the fin should be shaped around my Hogue, fingerless beavertail grip. Scored and broke off the kydex pieces to get the shape, heated from cold to 250 degrees and wrapped the kydex around the grip. I didn't have a foam vacuum form but the final shape turned out okay.

Also found a simple way to fix the stock without permanent damage to it using just a screw.

Give that a try and see if you can live with it. I couldn't with a similar fin setup that came with my S&W M&P 15 Sport II. I ended up swapping to a Sparrow Dynamics grip, which BTW, comes in the color of your original pistol grip.
