    CAAK Saiga style

Well it is still a work in progress, needs some more work on the old trigger so it will catch the hammer. Without the receiver plate on the bottom it seems to function properly. Needs some matching furniture and paint. Its a partial screw build until its finished and tested them will get rivits and gunkote.

Still need a solid way to attach the Saiga trigger and transfer bar pins?? E-clips? Spot weld?

With AB2728 and the decision of the DOJ to never ban new AK/AR type recievers this Saiga style build is just a glimpse of things to come at future gun shows.

Yup. Wes and I tried to make the San Jose gunshow interesting last December.

And for the life of me, I can't understand why the DOJ is hoping to force us to use detachable magazines!

But with the uncontrolled flow of AR and AK receivers, there will be some wonderful things coming up that I am sure will be commercialized. The above beautiful example, I'd hope, would get into manufacture...

I keep having these thoughts of a Saiga stock and trigger group on my second RPK.

However, it's well behind the thoughts of the 26" pistol-gripped underfolding non-semi-auto with detachable mags. 30" only applies to semi's.

Well, I would probably spot weld or rivet them in... find some steel thats a little long and smash the ends like a rivet...

My prefered way is to use the .308 SAIGA fire control group, it doesn't need the transfer bar/trigger pins, it uses a modified AK trigger...

Looks good, let us know how it shoots.
