My FFL needs CA DOJ # from Lancaster Arms

I got a message today from my FFL stating that they need a CA DOJ # from Lancaster Arms for CA neutered AK. Can someone explain to me what that is. My FFL has my rifle and they told me that before we can finish the transaction I need the CA DOJ # or letter from Lancaster which they apparently did not send with the rifle.

Apparently they didn't use the CFLC as required by law when sending a firearm from FFL to CA FFL?

      That'd be my guess...

Haha...no it's not Irvington. I'm just wondering what that number is since I haven't had any issues with any of my other online purchases. Lancaster seems to be pretty legit and is California friendly and it sounds like they put Radlocks on their AK's for all of their CA customers. I just don't know what a CA DOJ # is and am curious to find out.

I'll call them in the morning and I'm hoping they have one. I would assume so since they sell through Irvington, Ammo Bros, Cold War Shooters, etc which are all CA based dealers/FFL's.

Lancaster actually installed my Jumbo Panda Lock that I shipped them, but they said normally they will install radlocks for their CA customers if they want the pistol grip. Without the radlock installed then no pistol grip.
