    Hey you sacramento rimfire guys!

Put this up in the ammo section as well, thought i might get a few more looks here as well. If doing so is a "no-no", then i appologize and you can delete thread whip me for wasting bandwith..

I have been looking for some primer only .22 loads for a while but cant find anything localy. Something like CCI CB Caps or the Super Colibri. Looking for something to shoot out back and not bother anyone. Cant see paying bunch of shipping in one box of 50, would order a brick, but dont want to waste all the $$ if i dont like them.

Does anyone close have a box of 50 to sell or know where to get them local?

Or I have a box of 9mm factory reloads i could put up in trade for a box or 2, i dont shoot 9mm. A friend gave them to me when he got rid of his. Dont know the brand of reload off hand, but i can check if there is any intrest in them.

Also, can you even order online and get ammo sent to sacramento? I know they wont sell to Los Angles, Orange County and San Francisco, and some wont even sell to CA in general. But what about the ones who WILL sell to CA? I thought i read somewhere that ammo could not be sent to the "city" of sacramento, but could be sent to the outskirts or something like that. Then it went on saying thats why river city gun exchange makes you sign the form and put a finger print. Couldnt find it right now, think it was on another forum, but is there any truth to this?

    Thanks, bobby

Discharging a firearm or even a BB gun within the city or county is for the most part prohibited.

There aren't any restrictions to shipping ammo to Sac city or county, otherwise the obvious CA laws regarding tracers, armor piercing.. etc. Some websites just have stupid policies that are implemented because other companies have similar stupid policies.

The "back yard" im speaking is on familys house in forest hill, not mine. Has more then a few acres. The few neighbors they have dont care about pellet gun noise, but there isnt a need to bug them when i take my .22 to the familys place. A few of the neighbors said they have used them before as well, and work killer for 20yd can shots.

But thanks for catching that, figured it was "TMI" and nobody would notice or care, but i forgot......this is CALGUNS. You guys are always on alert, . Guess i forgot how good ya'll are!

          Yea man they're sweet.
Lord, make my hand fast and accurate.
Let my aim be true and my hand faster
than those who would seek to destroy me.
Grant me victory over my foes and those who wish to do harm to me and mine.
Let not my last thought be 'If I only had my gun."
And Lord, if today is truly the day you call me home, let me die in an empty pile of brass.

Here is a brick of 500 rounds for $25.49 on midwayusa.com:

You could also try Guns Fishing and Stuff in Vacaville, I think I've seen some colibri rounds there before. Just don't go up to the second floor...

try some CB longs, sounds like a louder bb gun, not so much that one would think firearm and I think river city gun exchange has some, even walmart has the cci shorts at elk grove. 700+ fps out of a rifle. I've been shooting those for a while now at the range and have shot cans with them at 100 yards when theres no wind. drop is amazing. But for real backyard fun.. I went to my airgun. Cheap and accurate. Its a 22 cal co2 gun so I dont need to pump it and its strong enough for anything up to raccoons.

Thanks, ill give river city a call, i did today, but forgot they dont open monday. Im thinking the CCI might work better for me as im planning on useing these in a 21" savage. Think the extra 200fps might help out the chances of not getting a squib round.

A fellow calgunner as offered me some Super Colibri to play with as well. Cant wait to pick them up this week and see how they shoot. Im sure they will be a little quieter then CCI CB's but ill really need to watch for squibs.

What did you shoot your CCI CB's through?

YES. Watch for squibs. I've got one 22 that has problems with squibs using the Colibri's and another one that'll run them all day long. I haven't tried the CCI's yet.
