    Tikka t3 lite, small magazine

Hi guys, I have a tikka t3 lite .270 winchester rifle. The mag it comes with holds 3 rounds, and their mags cost 70 bucks each. They are cheap pieces of plastic, so this is kind of stupid, but what can you do?

No really, what can you do? Is there any practical way to get ahold of a higher capacity mag, or even the same kind but cheaper? This is ridiculous, and it is really annoying having to load the mag every 3 shots.

I wonder if it will fit some other kind of magazine. Or if it could be modded easily?

Tikka sells a 10 round mag... No after market versions I am aware of today.

Don't beat up on Tikka to bad... The Rem 700 bottom metal is $350ish to support DMs plus each mag is around $85. Noted the Badger M5 stuff is top class.

Where is this 10 round mag? Is it for .270?

I bought my 5 rd mags from this company before. They were a little cheaper than this when I bought them but that was during the summer. I hope this helps. I just bought three 5 rd mags and called it a day.

BigBamBoo, how do you like your Tikka? Am looking to possibly purchase a Tikka varmint in .308 but not many people have these it seems...

By the way, Roedale Precision in Germany makes AICS chassis for Tikka T3s which will accept AICS mags which are $60+- from TPSC I believe. Just thought I'd throw that out there since I'm planning a tac rifle build with Tikka action and found this to be an option.
