Sling hardware...

I have an older 3 point sling my ar, but I lost the hardware...
So basically all I have is the sling straps but nothing to connect it to the rifle.

What do you guy recommended for this?
lol. I seen a guy using big zip ties. lol.

Which one do you have? You could probably make some new ones out of nylon webbing, D-rings/buckles (from REI) if you are handy with thread and needle?

My question is how to you actually get the nylon of your sling through the swivels? Do you have to cut the nylon, then re-sew the nylon once its through the swivel?
Or does the swivel open up some how to allow for their installation? I know it opens on the end connecting to the rifle, but what about getting the swivel installed to the nylon?

This is what I was talking about. Quite a few of my "social" guns are setup for the old Snap Sling which was one of the first commercially available 3 point tactical slings. The sling itself is detachable at both ends with a quick realease and each weapon is configured with a front and rear adapter made of nylon webbing, metal loop hardware and buckles to fasten around the handguard and stock at the factory attach points. The adapters could be easily made with the purchase of webbing, velcro, and some fittings. See the pics.

So how do you get the hardware on to the sling nylon?
I'm assuming at this point I'll need to cut the nylon insert hardware and re stich?

If the ends of your sling are sewn over, then that's really all you can do, I guess. Sewing through heavy Cordura or nylon can be a b**** though; if you know someone who has a sewing machine, that would probably be much easier.
