    Saiga Ak Dimpled??

    Whats the difference between the regular Saiga and when
    they say saiga with dimple,, What do they mean by that,, does one have a dimple someplace on the rifle and the other doesnt,, is that what they are talking about.. Just curious becus i own several and dont understand whats the difference? thanks and sorry if its very obvious..

    The dimples are above the mag where the mag well is. They are designed to support the mag and prevent too much wobble. The Saigas without them still have support bars inside the mag well. The models with dimples are highy sought after.

      why some saigas have dimples on the side to i guess give better support to the sides of the magazine when magazine is in the rifle reason some do and some dont saigas are made on the same factory as the ak47 some times factory runs out of saiga receivers they just use ak receiver you can also look et up on www.saiga12.com

          SO THE SAIGAS WITH DIMPLES ARE ACTUALLY AK receivers that were used bcause the Saiga receivers may had run out at the time?
