Monolithic quad rails with slim profile like Omega Rail?

    Hi--

I love my Omega Rails with their slim cross-sectional profile, and I'm thinking about building a nice monolithic rail upper. Are there any such uppers with the same "slim" or "oval" profile as the Omega Rails?

    Thanks in advance.

Well, he's sorta right. I mean monolithic on the top rail only, which the VLTOR VIS does have. But it's a no-go too, because it's not a slim-profile but a perfectly-round one.

Technically, you're looking for a continuous rail. Monolithic means the receiver rail and the handguard rail are one piece. There are a few of these, but it's a pretty specialized area.

Not exactly what you're asking for, but Troy has their new TRX rail, which has a continous top rail and a slim design, but the rails are add-ons.

Not available yet, I don't think, but it sounds pretty hot!

Thanks--learning something new every day! I guess I do want a monolithic rail then, where the receiver and the handguard are all one piece. (I want to mount a scout-style scope forward of the receiver.)

Yeah, the Troy rail is pretty sweet. From the pics, though, it doesn't look continuous through the receiver. I'll keep an eye out for one and check it out in person.
