Reloading the 338 Lapua costs my friend about $1.00 or so per round if you can pro rate the brass over seveal reloads. I have shot TRG 42 and it was a accurate rifle. I hit the metal target at 600 yards and the splash from the rounds were touching each other for all 5 shots.

I'm reloading for my AR-30 at around $1.50 per round. Plus they are much more accurate than factory ammo. N560 with Scenar's make one accurate round. If you and Lou want to drive up to Eureka, I'll make the trip with some ammo and my AR-30. I would like to see how much better a 6K rifle shoots when compared to my $1800 Armalite.

Bring a truck, preferably 4WD, firearms, lots of ammo... and curl the brim of your baseball cap!

About $1.50 sounds right. I have an AR-30 and it shoots just as well as a friend's FN Herstel Mini Hecate. I do the reloading for him also, darn powder scale may swing just a bit more on his loads than mine though.

^^+100%. I've had semi-extensive trigger time behind the Sako TRG-42, and my AR-30 is just as accurate. And the Armalite muzzlebrake is waaay more effective than the one on the TRG. Go figure!!
