Just picked up my threaded barrel Ruger PC9 today. Mounted a Sig Romeo red dot and changed it out to take Glock mags. Looking forward to a range trip soon. Sold my Sig MPX and switched to the Ruger PC9 so I could have/us the same mags as my Glocks and no stupid Bullet Button!

There's a reason no significant percentage of LEO's would consider "upgrading" AR's with 9mm carbines. IMHO. AR's do a lot more and shoot greater distances more accurately. I love those PCC's but as far as LEO's I wouldn't expect them to dump AR's for 9mm's ever. I wouldn't care if I could click in a 17 rounder from my Glock. I'd be fine with as many AR 30 rounders as I could carry.

Ruger obviously has a winner on its hands but its for guys like me, not depts... IMHO. I like the gimmick of sharing mags with all my Glocks. I bet cops don't care.
Maybe if every patrol car can carry an AR. Is that the case? I know it wasn't a few years ago. It was an 870, maybe. Rather have a PCC than that.

I'm very interested to hear your opinions of it vs the MPX. How smooth it is, amount of dot bounce, etc. I plan to use it in PCC, probably against a lot of MPX's.

Purchased one last night at Fresno Sportsmans. For $529.00, not the best price but they had 20 in stock. They will sell quickly!

Here's mine with the LOP sorted for the eye box of the RT-6 mounted low and a bipod... it looks like both eyes open will be easy even on 1-3 mag. Nice clear glass. Still have only shot the one with the red dot.

Anyone seen these on offer in the Sacramento area?

Edit: Sportsman's in Rocklin had 4 left as of noon today.

You won't need a mount for the TRS-25 - it should be a low PIC mount on it for the standard non-AR model, where if you mount on an AR and want lower 1/3 you'd have to get a riser mount like an $8 UTG or LEAPERS. IIRC I have one on a riser mount on AR22 and one on the PIC mount on a .22 pistol - they are OK, but the Vortex Crossfire RDS is closer to a SPARC so far (great). Crossfire's come with AR mount on it and a low PIC mount in the box too.
The TRS-25 fitted nicely without risers. Great results....right on target at 25 yards (Jackson Arms range limit)...Amazing quality for $48 on Amazon

Sorry for the delay, I don't check here as often as I should.
I preordered 12th Jan at the Turners in Fountain Valley CA.

No problem, just curious on the order date. Enjoy your carbine!

Do we know that there is room in the magwell for a larger Glock 20/21 magazines?

I have one in jail, just need to find the time to travel the two hour round trip to pick it up this week.

I am still waiting to dros mine, but I imagine with the magwell interchangeability this should not be an issue for other calibers in the future.
