Ruger 9mm takedown that can accept Glock mags

Wouldn't it be nice if Ruger or someone like TTI or TACCOM came out with something like a "Interchangeable standard and optic height cheek riser" for the standard stock? Not like it would be rocket science to glue one on there with 3M molding tape.

As soon as my turners pre-order comes in, I'm slapping a 2.5x primary arms optic on it. It'll probably be too high but a magpul backpacker stock will fix that.

Can't you just get a low mount? Why mount it at AR height and then then work around it? It isn't an AR.

I am not sure if Turners is still taking pre-orders anymore, they had taken down the pre-sale notices at the stores. They do have quite a few pre-orders in on the carbine.

I am local to you, two stores that had them in stock were Guns direct in Burbank and also Gun Effects in the city of Industry had 3 or 4 in stock. I handled one at Gun Effects, and yes it feels like a 10/22 on steroids.

KYGUNCO also had them in stock and Aces pawn in West Covina is on their approved list, make sure if you do order to note to remove the 15 round magazine.

I dont think they look bad at all, then again I shoot Glocks

Ruger hasn't let anything slip but the way the Bolt Face/Assembly is designed, it's likely a sure bet you will be able to change calibers down the road. As to ugly, I think the Ruger is much better looking than the HiPoint or Keltec.

Gotcha, yeah I actually think my Burris AR536 is similar, though I replaced the Burris bolt on mount with a GDI R-COM QD mount, I don't think it can get lower IIRC. But mine is on a PA-10.

I only use G26 mags because of the size. Zero problems, I bought five gen 4 G26 magazines (they have notches on both sides, previous generations only have one notch), mags and gun function perfectly. Unless I move to free state, I will buy a few more G26 mags without hesitation.

what were the prices at gun effects? and which version? the threaded barrel?

$569 non threaded barrel. Looking back I should have grabbed one, I do have a deposit at Turners for a threaded barrel with a Dec 30th date.
