One easy solution to the no pistol grip on a AK type, is to use the sling as a "hand rest"....
Lengthen the sling to it's longest length and loop it up and over the stock where the stock enters the receiver. Grasp both sides of the sling and cinch it up tight to the bottom part of the stock.
Pull the stock tight up to your shoulder, and shoot. It works amazingly well.
Remember it's a sling, not a "pistol grip".
