Bcg issue

Just picked up a new bcg and it will not slide into my upper. I removed a bcg from my other AR and it slides into upper smoothly. I return tried new bcg in other AR and it gets hung up in the same spot. Any thoughts??

Is the chamber side of the bcg extended or compressed?

Well that's not the problem I was figuring. There's no weird bumps on it?

Man I'm fiddling with one of my uppers and I have know idea why a bcg would get stuck there soo I'm at a loss

I had a new carrier do that. Was out of spec, shop took my rifle in the back, verified other carriers worked, and replaced the bad carrier on the spot.

Measure the width of the gas key and top of cam pin with the other bcg it might be too wide

I removed the bolt from the carrier and tried it in lower and still gets hung up. The pin is fully recessed so that not the issue.

Strip the entire bcg to just the carrier, remove the bolt, cam pin, firing pin, and firing pinretaining pin and try to slide the carrier in without the charging handle into the upper. Does it still bind?
