Mid length piston kit under rifle length handguard

I have a few parts laying around and wanted to put together a fake dissipator upper.
I'm have a 16" middleweight barrel with the older adams arms low profile piston kit. I would like to do an A2 front sight with the magpul rifle lenght hand guard.

I am wondering if the adams arms piston gas block will fit under the magpul handguard.

Or if it will fit under another rifle length hand guard.

You might have to remove the heat shields to clear the gas block.

The bigger issue is mounting a FSB at the rifle position on a typical 16" midlength barrel.

So it will be a piston dissipator build?

The fsb will be holding the front sight post and the handguard cap.

How about a clamp on FSB? A.R.M.S., DEZ, JP, or Armalite.

Clamp-on works fine if the barrel is the correct diameter.
It's very uncommon that a barrel is the correct diameter forward of the primary gas block seat though.
It normally requires a specially contoured barrel to have two gas block seats on it to make a proper dissipator setup.

I had mine set up similarly (not piston though) with an Armalite clamp on A2 fsb, 16" barrel, and a low profile has block at the mid position.

It ran fine, but it was HEAVY. I'd imagine a piston version would be even worse.

I gave it up because the increased sight radius/hand guard length just wasn't worth the extra weight.

I bought this from PSA and swapped the handguard with an a2 triangular handguard. Then I swapped the receiver for an a1 receiver.

They had a standard low profile gas block in it and it fit under the magpul handguard but when I swapped to the a2 triangular handguards, I had to cut away the metal heat shields around the gas block.
