    Ar15 Side Loading Magazine

So it looks like someone finally is bringing a side loading magazine for the AR15 to market, after i believe LWRC demo'ed a prototype at shot show like years ago but never revisited again. but unlike the LWRC version, this works with all lowers, not just a special LWRC lower with the magazine built in:

video of the mag. skip to 2:40 for the loading.

one thing i will say though is the price, $74 for 1 magazine. big investment for this.

LWRC version they demo'ed at shot show.

the compmag is a much better version for the pure fact that it isn't built as part of the lower. and per compmag's website, they are working on an AK version too.

I prefer featureless, but... that looks like it would be a great option for my 14.5" AR with a pinned and welded flash hider (since that one would take more work to make it featureless). It looks good and well built, from what I can see in the video. I don't see $74 being a big investment (remember your not needing multiple mags).
    Thanks for posting!

Same problem with many of these work around. Misfeeds, stove pipes, etc make these difficult to clear. This is not a gun I’d bet my life on.
If you find yourself in a fair fight, you're doing it all wrong.

Featureless is still the option. Exile fin and muzzle break is a highly effective weapon!

However I am glad to see the work around.
