Qualiity AR fixed rear sight options

Its been a long time since I payed attention to the AR parts market, I'm looking to finish a build with a fairly priced fixed rear sight. Is Daniel defense my best option if I refuse to buy a troy? Any suggestions appreciated.

Daniel Defense, and switch out the aperture for a same-plane. The new Scalarworks one looks pretty nice, too, since it has tool-less adjustment.

Larue, LMT or a USGI carry handle

        Daniel Defense

I'd go with a QUALITY carry handle. Don't fall for the $20 ebay one.

The LMT cut down carry handle sight is pretty awesome if you want easy elevation and windage rear sight adjustment. The DD fixed rear is quite bullet proof if you want a set and forget sight. I have both on different rifles.

Just out of curiosity what are we meaning by 'fixed' sight here?

to me it means not-adjustable like on some revolvers.
Never heard of that on a rifle

I'd assume he just means fixed as in non-folding. Especially since he called out the DD rear as one example.

OP, if you want to go for a Colt/USGI detachable carry handle, then you need to use a F-height front sight base - just make sure that the rear sight of your choice is compatible with the front sight
