It's good and I had it for a little while. But sold it recently and going to get a more dedicated brake and see if it helps anymore.

There is no question on its legality....its not a flash suppressing device, as ruled by the ATF

This device has been classified as a non-flash suppressing device by the DOJ. See the document

Actually there is question to it's legality for featureless builds here in CA. Read the previous discussions in this forum. It has been argued that the mere fact it is marketed as having flash suppresion capability is enough for the CA DOJ to classify it as such. You post a letter directy from the CA DOJ that says it's okay and then I'll accept that it is not considered a flash suppresor.

But hey, it's your freedom. Make your choices and take your chances. Personally, I don't think the risk is worth it with the number of ill-informed or un-informed law enforcement officers here in CA. There are plenty of equally good options for a featureless build.

Doesn't matter to me as the two FSC556's I have are both on BB'd rifles....

We have a non-flash hiding version of our KA-1222 available for the CA market, they just came off the production line. Looks just like this unit but without the deep crown at the muzzle

What ever you buy. DO NOT GET THE SABRE DEFENCE TACTICAL GILL BRAKE. I shot an upper with that thing yesterday and it is horrible!!!!!!
The "gills" are angled back in a way that it throws all the blast/unburned powder/shockwave right back onto the shooter. It feels like the gun blew up when you get that blast in the face.

I also shot a couple uppers yesterday with the PRI/MSTN brake and of course, no blast hits the shooter and the gun barely moves at all.

If I ever get an upper that comes with the Sabre Gill brake. I'm taking it off immediately and throwing it away. I would feel bad selling that to anyone.
