Best bang for your buck..strike industries j-Comp v2. Can be had for $35-40
I’ve ran Lantac, procomp, eBay and a few others. There was minimal difference in performance from the high end brakes to the cheaper ones. Where the more expensive ones outshined the cheap ones was in the finish and maybe looks “cool factor”.Comment

I use Levang, Keneti-tech and Troy Claymores on my 5.56. That doesn't really have much recoil. The AR-47 has the brake, that gun can hurt without it.Comment
