Finally found a Ruger PC-9
Tags: None -
No accessories. There was one gentleman that did trigger jobs a long time ago. Once upon a time a company did a magazine conversion to either a Glock or Beretta (IIRC).
The only readily available accessory is a picatinny rail mount.sigpic

3 pack of mags has been on sale at Cabelas for awhile. If you use all the tricks, can get 'em down ~ $12 per. Pretty good deal.

They have a long trigger pull. Accurate as hell. Remember, it isn't a 100 yd tool. They eat anything, they like 128gr stuff.
What sights does it have?
And, parts are NLA from RugerLast edited by m35a2; 11-10-2017, 6:09 PM.Choices always were a problem for you, what you need is someone strong to guide you...like me!Comment

It has the standard sights. So parts NLA from Ruger means no chance at finding ghost rings to upgrade.Comment

This sight might work.
The reason these guns are so heavy is the mass required to permit the blow back action. It's also the reason they have crappy triggers.
There is a action lock built into the top of the receiver that keeps the action locked closed in case the butt of the stock is hit sharply. The mass of the slide will partially cycle the action if hit hard enough. Pulling on the bolt handle or pulling the take up out of the trigger unlocks the action. That's why the take up is so long and somewhat clunky.
I took the links out of the top of the receiver of my PC4. That helps greatly with the trigger pull, but still leaves the long take up. To get rid of the take up, I filled the slot in the breech block the rear of the action hooks into. The trigger has a lever that rides in that slot and cams out of the breach block. The lever engages the locking link in the top of the receiver that unlocks the action. With the slot filled the trigger is held to the rear, eliminating the long take up.
The downside is I can't go about smashing and bashing with the butt of the gun.Last edited by Pardini; 11-10-2017, 8:17 PM.Originally Posted by OCEquestrian View Post

OP, just out of curiousity, when did you buy it? A co-worker and I were thinking of picking it up this AM but was told it was sold already.
Awesome deal. Double the price on GB.Comment

I have a ruger pc9 with ghost ring sights I paid $750 otd a good four years ago. Great rifle shoots any kind of 9mm, and can hit pie plates at 100 yards with it. I later bough a p95 since it takes the same magazines. The blowback action is rock solid. I'm looking for a magazine butstock pouch for it but they are hard to find. You got a killer deal on it enjoy it. Honestly one of the best pistol caliber carbines ever made.

My PC4 has always been surprisingly accurate, and I've stated in the past that I would put it up against my HK USC any day for any dollar as far as matching capability, reliability, and accuracy.
These are absolutely some of the best pistol cartridge based carbines ever made, and it's sad the Ruger only made them for such a short time. I think their only mistake was not having made one in .45ACP; that would have sold like condoms in a drive-thru Tijuana whorehouse.

Friday about 10:30 AM. Sorry about that I knew at that price it was going to sell fast to anyone that knew about them.

You'll have a difficult time finding the original LE type butt stock mag pouches.I have a ruger pc9 with ghost ring sights I paid $750 otd a good four years ago. However there is one made for the longer mags, the flaps are so long they hang off the end of the pouch using 10-15-17 rd mags, with only a small amount of the Velcro engaged, I kept my P89 because I owned 15 and 17 rd mags prior to the new laws. I sent most of the HiCaps out of state but now live where they were sent and just got them returned. Will be picking up a few 20 mags soon. Probably will sell the P89 now and some of the mags.
I got a see through scope rail, possibly a UTG so I can use the ghost ring sights or optics, there is no rear sight mounted on the bbl. of my PC9.
Congrats on the price, at least $300 under market value, I got mine a couple years ago for $500. I thnk Ruger only made 10000 of them so maybe they should be C&R's
