    FN 49!!! Finally

Got a tip from a buddy that they had a venezuelan FN 49 come in, and once I went to see it I couldn't pass it up. Crisp rifling no dings only downside was there was no rear sight, but that's not a big deal. So what you guys think, also may I add only 600$ and it is 7mm.
Sorry for potatoes pictures will post more when it's free.

I saw a beat to hell Egyptian at the Ventura show for $900 and the seller was looking for a fool.

        Haa, that's Oak Tree.

I was there yesterday and a couple people were looking at that rifle. Looked to be in very good shape. Congrats!

Is that an S & K "dust cover" scope mount?

I have an FN 49 in 8mm, sold a previous one that had a Redfield branded scope mount base set up that replaced the rear sight leaf. It was all steel, not the usual BSquare aluminum crap and even if the dust cover wasn't the mount was rock solid. Used conventional "turn in" rings. I sold the 1st FN 49 because it had that awful Italian mud brown wood. I wish to heck I kept that scope mount, difficult as heck finding the original type.

Good price BTW, and you can get the rear sight at SARCO. They also sell a very good copy FN 49 brake.

Good looking with sharp rifling? $600 is on the great deal side of life. Minimum should have been $700, and $800 to as high as $1,000 from what yours looks like has been the running norm that I've seen in Southern CA.

                  Congrats!

Nice pickup. The 7mm is more desireable than the 8mm IMHO.
$600 is pretty good, especially from an LGS. There is a dude here in the marketplace who sold a cherry Lux in 30-06 for $1500, but can't move his Egyptian 8mm at $800. $700 or less seems to be the going rate on those.
