I think anything similar to the Noveske pig would direct the blast forward. There are lots of comparable and cheaper linear comps that do that.

Not sure if it's any good, but I bought one from eBay (haven't installed it yet). Basically a compensator (holes on the side) but with a screw on shield that fits over it. Sort of weird, I can't see how the compensator part can work is you shield it (there is a gap of course), but it probably works well enough to send the sound and blast forward.

Of course a thread protector probably does mostly the same thing.

Also ... these devices are idiotically referred to as "Sound forwarders"

LOL! who made that stupid term up? "Blast director" I think I've seen too.

Just put on a thread protector.
Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.

I bought two of these economy barrel extenders and they work great at directing to blast forward. Check out the featureless thread for more ideas.

            Good luck!

I'm not sure what the protocol is (or isn't) for posting links to other gun sites here on Calguns... but if you google "Compensator comparison 2016" or "AR-15 Muzzle Brake shootout #3" you'll find a great review on the testing of 42 Compensator/Muzzle Brake/Flash Suppressors. It's a good read!
