    PSA PA-10 vs PA-65

Howdy fellow cheapskates that like to browse PSA's daily bargain offerings.

Does anyone know the difference between the old PA-10 and the new PA-65 other than the 6.5 Creedmoor chambering? A cynical guy might guess they hope to get an extra 20 bucks by putting a new name on an old receiver.

Based on this text in red on the page, looks like it is a gen 2 PA-10 upper receiver
These uppers are designed to work with the PA-10 platform and as such, will function with existing Gen1 & Gen2 PA-10 lower receivers. In order for a better cosmetic appeal, we recommend using all 6.5 Creedmoor uppers with Gen2 PA-10 Lowers or PA-65 Lowers

        BTW... you might enjoy this...

So it finally got here... and I wasn't kidding about PSA building as they get orders !! Also.... as shipped, this is beyond a doubt, the most oil free rifle ever. Everything is bone dry... the best part about that is it makes finding any rough finish / binding parts easier. That is not to say the...

Ha, they added this blurb. It wasn't there before, it said something like you need a PA-65 lower to go with a PA-65 upper because it was a proprietary design.

The PA-65 Lower is a PA-10 lower with the model number changed to "PA-65" and the caliber specified as "6.5 Creedmoor" for users who want a uniform, dedicated look for their 6.5 Creedmoor AR.

And now they have a PX-10, with a little higher price than PA-10's have been..

Due to the proprietary design of this lower receiver, it will only function with a PX-10 Upper Receiver.

So the complete rifles come with Pmags. Are these identical to a Pmag that comes with a PA-10 or the Pmags you get at your LGS? I don't know a lot about the caliber, but they "look" similar in case diameter... OAL looks different. Anyone?

$499 shipped seems like a good deal for a complete upper with BCG and CH. I'd rather this than an M1A in the caliber.

You would use the same magazine for either caliber.
