    Consignment

Do you have to wait 30 days if you withdraw your firearm consignment?

So i have been searching for a while about this question and have not found anything on the topic. I understand the 30 day hold, but was wondering if it still applied to the seller if they choose not to sell it any more. Also I do know that I have to dros it again.

Has anyone done this or heard of someone who has been through this?
    Thanks

be careful regarding consignment. Had a shop sell mine without me signing anything. Nor did they notify me that it sold. Eventually got my money but be very careful. Pretty much I would avoid consignment. Why lose a bunch of money on a gun sale?

Yes a lot of FFLs will make you wait 30 days for them to book the gun out & back to you

Guns sell themselves. With the CG Marketplace you have way better options than consignment.

Page 7; FIREARMS DEALER ACQUISITION SYSTEM (FDAS) SECONDHAND DEALERS AND PAWNBROKERS. (http://ag.ca.gov/firearms/forms/pdf/fdasfaqs052010.pdf)
          Q. Does the 30-day hold on all personal property still apply for FDAS transactions?
          A. Yes. Secondhand dealers and pawnbrokers shall retain all personal property reported under Business & Professions Code section 21628.2 for a period of 30 days from the date of the report in FDAS. (Business & Professions Code section 21636.) The 30-day retention period commences on the date the dealer report of firearm acquisition was electronically submitted to the BOF via FDAS.

And a follow up - I presume one has to go through DROS and fees, 10 day wait to get the gun back, or no?

Wow that's ridiculous. Have to go through DROS just for the right to get a gun that the lgs is holding for you back

Welcome to the Peoples Republic of Kaliforniastan, where only the politicians and criminals, like there is a difference, are allowed to purchase guns easily and carry concealed.
