Tavor X95 purchased in December 2016 in Cali

I live in California. I purchased a Tavor X95 in December 2016. Can I take the built button off now and register it as an AW?

Might be FUD but my understanding is that this time around it's a "bullet button assault weapon" meaning bullet button stays.

You can register it all you want, but for now the Bullet Button stays.

you can register it, but the bullet button has to stay on it, it can not be altered or removed

I will wait until the deadline to register my ar, if Michel and Associates isn't able to crush this by that time
"It is currently CA legal to modify a double-action revolver into a single-action revolver and modify a single-action revolver into a double-action revolver.

CA DOJ BOF stance on modifying handguns only applies to dimensionally compliant bolt-action single-shot pistols and dimensionally compliant break-open single-shot pistols.
^It does not apply to revolvers, manually operated repeating pistols, and semi-auto pistols." ~~ Quiet

And, since that's all anyone knows to answer the OP, closed.
