Mini-14 - older aftermarket rear sights?

What sort of aftermarket rear sights were available for the Mini-14 prior to, say, 2000? Are any of them still available, and do they fit current models? I shot my father's Mini-14 extensively during the '90s... if my memory is correct it originally had the old ranch rifle rear sight but he replaced it with something closer to the M1 Garand sight, yet without the easy adjustment knobs. Judging by the pictures of "non-Ranch" model on the internet, the sights looked similar to those, but the rifle didn't otherwise look like the "non-Ranch" model.

Fast-forward twenty years or so... I got a new Mini-14 a couple years back, but I really can't stand the current rear sight. Compared to other apterture-type rear sights (M1, M1A, etc.) the rear aperture almost entirely disappears from view, which I find a bit disconcerting.

I'm aware of the current TechSights ones. I'll likely end up getting one of those, but since I'm not shooting this at anything other than 100 yards the extra adjustment options seem a bit superfluous. And I don't know if the aperture will be better than the current one. So if older ones are available, and will fit current models, I'd be very interested!

Millet made a "sorta" precision rear sight for the Mini-14, this was in the mid-1980's and it fit the 184 and 185 series Mini-14's with standard rear sights (no ranch rifles). The target apature on it was about 3/4" diameter w/a .0600" peep hole, it was cast as I remember.

Accuracy systems inc I , made or makes an M1 carbine style rear sight for the mini ranch rifle.
With your rifle pointed away from you, looking down at the top of the receiver you will notice the following A) On the left side of the receiver there is a 4-40 hex head screw approximately 1

They were trying to help the accuracy of the mini.
They figured a half inc plus rear sight hole would allow the shooter to see the total shot area of a mini at 7 yards.

You're correct, it should be .0600 but that was a guess, it's probably a little bigger then that but still under .100

That looks like a terrible way to hold in a sight.
